Our History

Our family started breeding German Shepherds under the Timberline name in 1995 at our home in Caledonia, Ontario. We started by purchasing a show puppy from a local breeder and venturing out to dog shows with him. For the past few decades we have been very much a family business, caring for the dogs and raising the litters, and participating in dog shows, handling our own dogs as a family.

Notable Dogs

There are several notable dogs that our current bloodlines are rooted in. The majority of our dogs go back in some way to one of our foundation bitches, Ch. Survival Indecision Timberline ROMC OVC. Chyna had a large number of champion progeny, mainly daughters, who all went on to be excellent producers in their own right, most notably, Timberline’s Thunderbird OFA, dam of the the two excellent producing girls, BIS BIF Ch. Timberline’s Firebird ROMC OVC, and Timberline’s Sunbird. From there came a great number of champion progeny, and many of our current girls are daughters/grandaughters of these two. Another signficant foundation of our current lines is, Ch. Timberline Mum Sayz Ima Keeper RN OFA H/E. From Keeper came Sonoma’s Man’o’War Timberline, sire of a number of our current dogs, as well as Ch. Sonoma’s All in Good Time RN OVC H/E, dam of our two Grand Champions, Dutch (GCH. Sonoma’s Holland Road Timberline) and Archie (GCH. FV/MV Timberline’s Dust Bowl Dance OFA H/E). These two also have our long-time stud dog, FV Am/Can Ch. Brownhill-Kysarah’s Maricio ROMC OFA H/E behind them.

Accomplishments

Now, 25 years later we are the proud breeders or co-breeders of more than 50 Canadian Champions, as well as multiple obedience titled dogs, Canadian Futurity/Maturity winners, a Canadian Register of Merit dam, several Canadian Select Champions, and top 5 GSD’s in Canada, including the 2020 #1 GSD and #3 All Breed dog in Canada, GCH. Timberline’s Dust Bowl Dance OFA H/E, DM Clear. Most importantly, we’ve bred many generations of very loved family companions.

The Future

In 2019 our kennel underwent a major change, when we moved to a new location in Hagersville, Ontario. We are happy to have several acres of land for the dogs to run on, and a large, modern indoor/outdoor, climate controlled kennel facility.

We are proud to see our bloodlines behind the foundation of many new kennels, and we are excited to see many young show prospects from our kennel head into the ring over the next few years.
